Abstract
The unloading process is an activity to support the smooth flow of goods at the port. In order to be carried out properly, it is supported by skilled Human Resources and good use and adequate demolition equipment. Jamrud Terminal is the places where the author makes observations on the unloading of fertilizers. This study aims to gain an understanding of the handling of unloading fertilizers in accordance with the work instructions for loading and unloading fertilizers at Jamrud Terminal PT. Pelindo Surabaya. The research method used is qualitative. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected by observing the object of research and direct interviews with the object of research, while secondary data was obtained from books, journals and literature studies. The results of the observations were that the implementation of the dismantling of fertilizers was in accordance with the work instructions for dismantling the fertilizers set by PT. Pelindo at Jamrud Surabaya Terminal. Where the results of these observations are in accordance with the problems that the authors found such as the dismantling tools used, the documents prepared and the documents produced, the handling process and the emergence of obstacles during the activity. Suggestions that can be put forward are the need to check loading and unloading equipment regularly, either before the operation plan meeting or before the activity takes place.
