Abstract
This paper was created to obtain a more in-depth picture of the role of PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines Jakarta branch, especially monitoring loading and unloading of containers on ships, supporting documents and related parties in monitoring loading and unloading of containers. In addition, the author also discusses the constraints and suggestions to be used as a solution to these problems. For the data used, the authors use primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained through direct interviews with operational staff, and the company's Admin PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines.. The data collection method used by the author is observation, which is to see directly the activities in the field during Land Practice (PRADA) at PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines. The results of the study can be concluded that this company is engaged in shipping and containers where this company helps in managing the delivery of goods through sea transportation modes with containers making it easier for customers in terms of shipping goods between islands in Indonesia.
