Abstract
The development of marine transportation today is so fast according to the times. In its activities, PT Citra Jateng Stevedoring carries out the unloading of dry bulk (maize). Based on the description above, the author tries to observe more deeply so that a paper is arranged with the title "Dry bulk loading and unloading procedure at KM.Berlian Indah by PT Citra Jateng Stevedoring Semarang". There was a delay in carrying out the unloading of the cargo. The goal to be achieved from the observations made by the author is to find out how the loading and unloading process is, what documents and tools are needed and what obstacles are faced by the loading and unloading company (PBM) in expediting the process of loading and unloading dry bulk. and improve performance in an unloading process in order to avoid delays. In this paper, the type used is qualitative data, with data sources obtained through data collection techniques, namely interviews, library research, and documentation. In this case the authors make direct observations to the port, the authors carry out interviews with people who are directly related to the unloading process. The author also takes pictures to support the validity of the data in writing this paper. From the results of observations, it can be seen that the factors that cause delays in the process of loading and unloading bulk corn at Pelindo Tanjung Emas Semarang Branch include natural factors. Based on observations, the company responsible for loading and unloading should be more careful in supervising and monitoring weather conditions. Thus the company can minimize obstacles in the process of unloading the dry bulk cargo. For the watch service that carries out port guarding, they must prepare data related to the weather to find out the surrounding conditions in order to anticipate things that are not desirable.
