Abstract

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death from a variety of causes, ranking as the tenth cause of all deaths and ninth as the leading contributor to global death. The number of traffic accidents in the world every year is 1.24 million people, equivalent to 3,397 people every day. While traffic accidents in Blitar Regency are still very high, reaching 292 incidents in 2019 and dominated by two-wheeled vehicles. The formulation of the problem, the research objective and the hypothesis in this study were to analyze the influence of the independent variables, namely driver behavior, vehicle conditions, road conditions on the dependent variable, namely traffic accidents. In this study, the object that was taken was the Kesamben road user, Blitar Regency. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 100 respondents who were users of the Kesamben road, Blitar Regency. The technique used is incidental sampling technique, which is a sampling technique based on chance, ie anyone who happens to meet the researcher can be used as a sample. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the research and multiple analysis, the equation is: Y = 0,539+ 0,192X1 + 0,189X2 + 0,545X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is a partially positive influence between the bad behavior of drivers on traffic accidents, bad conditions of vehicles on traffic accidents, bad roads to traffic accidents. Keywords: Driver Behavior, Vehicle Conditions, Road Conditions, Traffic Accidents.
