Abstract
Passenger ships are an important transportation and as a strategy for economic, strengthening unity and integrity and influencing in all aspects of the life of the nation and state. The problems of passenger ships sometimes becomes an unsolved problem, especially when the COVID-19 disaster strikes Indonesia in early 2020. Passenger ships, which are one of the public transportation used by the community to cross between islands, were temporarily suspended due to the pandemic that occurred, until at the time the government issues a new regulation to allow passenger ships to operate again by fulfilling the requirements stated in the Ministry of Transportation Circular Letter Number 12 of 2020 concerning the procedure for a new or new normal life. All passengers choosing public transportation should be careful to use, passengers will think in terms of the quality of service to be provided, customer satisfaction for those who have experienced in one of the existing passenger ships and customer trust. With the problems mentioned above, passenger ships on the Surabaya- Banjarmasin route are deemed necessary to follow the existing rules for smooth operation. But passenger ships needs to evaluate passengers to find out what the customer wants. Keywords : passenger ship, new normal, service quality, satisfaction customers, customer trust.
