Abstract

Congestion is a major problem that is often faced by a number of urban areas in Indonesia. Congestion is caused by the increasing volume of vehicles that pass too much but very low road space. Traffic congestion is crossed by Mr.anggen Kab. Demak need special attention to resolve congestion because it is crossed the plot is often a delayed traffic flow stalled and slow vehicle speed during rush hours such as working hours and school entrance between the hours of 07:00 to 08:00 pm and in the afternoon hours home work between the hours of 16.00 -17.000 WIB because it is crossed by a plot is the main line connecting the city of Semarang-Purwodadi which resulted in long traffic congestion exceeds the capacity of the road. The formulation of the problem, the purpose of research, and the hypothesis in this research is to analyze the influence between independent variable that is side barrier, road condition and the traffic condition toward the dependent variable that is traffic congestion. Based on research and result of multiple analysis resulted equation Y = 0.538 + 0.255 X1 + 0.335 X2 + 0.278 X3 + μ The result of multiple linear regression equation shows that there is a partial positive effect between side barrier to traffic congestion (t count 2,781> t table 1, 98498), road condition to traffic jam (t count 3,328> t table 1,98498), condition Traffic to traffic congestion (t count 2,813> t table 1,98498). The effect of research variable is very strong with correlation value R = 0,582, simultaneous side obstacle variable, road condition, traffic condition influence 58,2% to traffic congestion in crossing plot and 41,8% influenced by research variable undetected by research this. Keywords: side barriers, road conditions, traffic conditions, traffic congestion
