Abstract
An alternator is a generator to produce alternating current. The alternator as a producer of electrical energy must also be considered, especially its efficiency. From the description above, it encourages researchers to analyze alternators in power plants as a lesson and in order to be able to choose which one is better used for Java-Bali power plants that can be used for everyday life. So the researchers took the title in this study, namely "Alternator at the Java-Bali power plant". The purpose of this paper is to determine the damage to the alternator at the power plant and increase the sense of responsibility in the task of repairing and maintaining the alternator. With qualitative research methods with data collection based on observations and library research that the author collected and obtained an accurate discussion. It is necessary to prevent and deal with this problem with the necessary knowledge of the causes of alternator damage and alternator maintenance at power plants. Keywords: Alternator, Maintenance, PJB.
