Abstract
Shipping or sea transportation is a part of transportation that cannot be separated from other means of transportation with the ability to face changes in the future, has a strong potential to develop its role, both nationally and internationally. When a ship makes a voyage, while on the way it does not rule out the possibility that an emergency will occur, whether caused by nature or due to human error, such as the possibility of a fire, collision, running aground, the ship sinking and so on which can threaten the safety of all. crew members and the safety of the ship itself. The formulation of the problem in this observation is taken based on the title of the observation regarding the Optimization of Work Safety Implementation on SV Ships. Fiona 38 at PT. Sowohi Kentiti Jaya. This observation addresses the problem of how safety management is carried out on board the SV. Fiona 38, the factors that resulted in accidents, efforts were made to optimize the application of work safety on the SV ship. Fiona 38. The aim to be achieved from the observations made by the author is to find out how the management of the implementation of work safety as well as the causes of work accidents and the efforts that will be made. The method of observation used to discuss this problem is a qualitative method. Observation of qualitative methods is research that intends to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects holistically and by means of descriptions in the form of words and language, in a special natural context and by utilizing various natural methods. The results of observations made on the SV. Fiona 38, the writer concludes that optimizing the implementation of work safety procedures has been done quite well by the company and the crew on board the ship.
