Abstract
The research objective to be achieved through the preparation of this thesis is to describe the factors of convenience, fare and timeliness of purchasing KAI tickets for the Semarang-Surabaya route. The population in this study is the Maharani train passengers in DAOP IV Semarang. Sampling in this study used a non-probability sampling technique, and used the type of accidental sampling method. The analysis used in this research includes validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing which includes t, and coefficient of determination (R2). The results of the multiple regression analysis that have been carried out are: Y = -0.894 + 0.394X1 + 0.316X2 + 0.356X3 + This means that all independent variables, namely punctuality, price perception, and service quality have a positive and significant influence on variables that depend on passenger decisions. The variable that has the greatest influence is the punctuality variable (0.356), followed by the convenience variable (0.316), and the last is the tariff variable (0.394). And the coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) obtained is (0.574). This means that 57.4% of ticket purchases are influenced by fare, convenience and punctuality variables.
