Abstract
The purpose of writing this paper is to obtain an overview and ways to improve ship agency services during the covid-19 pandemic that is afflicting the entire population of the earth, which is caused by a virus called the corona virus (coronavirus disease 2019). Based on data collection carried out by writing during land practice (Prada) writing using several qualitative methods including observation, literature study, documentation, data analysis, the results obtained include. In optimizing the clearance in and out service during the pandemic, the agent must try to provide the best service to the ship owner so that the owner is satisfied with the agent's performance, the satisfaction referred to in ship service includes, among others, the in/out clearance process that is not long-winded, the ship docking process in accordance with the procedure, the fees provided are in accordance with the agreed rate and do not add to other costs, the loading and unloading process runs smoothly, does not overestimate the offer to the ship owner (owner) with the intention that they are lured, evidences of service quality can be in the form of physical service facilities (such as ship docking processes, clearance, services and to ships) appearance of service providers, equipments and tools used to provide services, clear cost reports in accordance with the agreement and ship security while docking at the port.
