Abstract

In 2020, the whole world was shocked by the Corona Virus Disease - 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic which hit almost the whole world, including Indonesia. This does not only have an impact on the social community and also the economy with regulations from the government in each country regarding overcoming this pandemic, such as by keeping a distance. With the new social pattern, it indirectly requires the existence of new regulations and procedures in all agencies and state-owned companies. Where this is a reference for each company to survive in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, including PT KAI (Persero). One of the strategies carried out by PT. KAI (Persero) is to make a number of adjustments to train passenger services in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak. This is as a form of efficiency, optimizing train operations and rationalizing the number of passengers and logistics delivery during the regional quarantine period during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is in line with the letter from the Director of Traffic and Land Transportation regarding optimizing passenger operations on land transportation modes during the Covid-19 pandemic. At the time of the first spread of the Covid-19 Virus in Indonesia, it was felt directly by the decline in passengers of the Malabar KA Executive KA Tasikmalaya-Malang where previously in March the occupancy of train passengers was still at the maximum occupancy, namely 25.61% where the total seats were occupied as many as 6609 out of a total of 25,800. passenger seat. It decreased in April where the passenger occupancy ratio of K.A Malabar was at its lowest point of 0.68%, which was only filled with 178 passenger seats out of a total occupancy of 25,800 passenger seats. This must be considered by the company to try to stabilize the passenger occupancy ratio of K.A Malabar amid New Normal conditions due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Among them by analyzing customer complaints, such as complaints about unsatisfactory service such as during normal times, uncertainty of departure schedules and many ticket cancellations due to new regulations during the pandemic, as well as complaints about when the Malabar train operates. This must be considered by the company to try to stabilize the passenger occupancy ratio of K.A Malabar amid New Normal conditions due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Among them by analyzing customer complaints, such as complaints about unsatisfactory service such as during normal times, uncertainty of departure schedules and many ticket cancellations due to new regulations during the pandemic, as well as complaints about when the Malabar train operates. This study uses data collection methods in the form of observations carried out directly in the field, literature study, documentation and questionnaire methods. In this study, the author uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis, where the statistics found in the study are described or described as they are, then presented in the form of numbers which are then interpreted in a description. It shows that, based on empirical data (the results of filling out the questionnaire) and the results of multiple linear regression, it shows that the Trust variable (X1) has a positive influence on the interest of service users, where the value of tcount is 2.256> ttable 1.98498. Perception of usefulness (X2) has a positive influence on the interest of service users where the value of tcount is 5.599>ttable1.98498. Convenience variable (X3) also has a positive influence on the interest of service users having a tcount of 3.216> ttable of 1.98498. Thus, the results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between trust, perceived usefulness, convenience on the interest of service users.
