Abstract

International Safety Management (ISM Code) is an International work safety management (IMO, amendment of Geneva 1995). The ISM Code is devoted to the voyage in applying occupational safety and occupational accidents at sea. The ISM Code was born from a ship safety management need caused by a high number of occupational accidents in maritime and sailing worlds. Based on the resolution of IMO A. 741 (18) passed on 4 November 1993, the International Management Code for the Safe Operation and for Pollution Prevention was born. This Code or provision is then adopted by SOLAS (Safety of Life At Sea) in one chapter itself, namely in chapter IX. SOLAS is one of the international conventions for safety in the maritime world. In this chapter IX SOLAS, the ISM Code is described as the International management terms for safe operation of vessels and the prevention of pollution adopted by the Organization with A. 741 resolution. The operation of the vessel is to explain and carry out the transfer of vessels securely and comply with the rules and safety requirements of the cruise to apply the legal basis: 1) Law No. 17 of 2008 on Sailing, 2) Decree of the Minister Transportation Number 73 year 2004 on the implementation of river and Lake Transportation, 3) Decree of the Minister of Transportation number 73 year 2004 on the implementation of crossing transport. Accident prevention on ship safety is an important priority for professional sailors while working on board. The entire shipping company ensures that their crew follows the personal safety procedures and rules of all operations carried on the board To achieve maximum safety on the vessel, the initial step ensures that the entire crew is wearing equipment Their personal protector was made for various types of work done on the ship.
