Abstract
The Role of the Class II Cilacap Port Authority and Port Authority Office of Marine Inspector on the safety of ships The responsibility of the Class II Port Authority and Port Authority Office (KSOP) of Cilacap is very large in ensuring safety and security, because KSOP is the government at the port appointed by the Minister of Transportation and the highest authority to operate and provide fulfillment of the ship's eligibility requirements before carrying out a voyage. Oceanworthiness is the condition of a ship that meets the requirements for material, construction, machinery, electricity, stability, arrangement, life-saving devices, radio communications, electrons and navigation tools proven by a sea-worthy certificate. To increase the safety and security of ships, the KSOP office must have a Marine Supervision. Marine inspector is a ship safety inspector who has attended and graduated from education and training for ship safety inspectors and has been approved by the Director of Sea Transportation. The purpose of this study was to see the role of the Class II Cilacap Port Authority and Ship Safety Inspector Officers in the feasibility of ships. The data method used is field research methods using observation and interview techniques and documentation methods. The result of this research is that the role of Marine Inspector of Cilacap Class II Port Authority and Harbor Authority Office in ship feasibility is very important in ensuring the feasibility and safety of the ship.
