Abstract
L.o cooler is an important machining aid on board where the operation of the main engine is greatly influenced by the good performance of the cooler. L.o cooler which functions to cool the lubricating oil after the lubricating oil lubricates the main engine components. So that when there is damage to the l.o cooler will affect the capacity of lubricating oil which will decrease the performance of the main engine. The method used is the swot and hazop method, where the swot is used to look for factors and efforts while the hazop is used to identify the impact of the risk of damage to the o cooler, based on the results of research showing that the cause of the reduced oil capacity in the sump tank is the damage to the o cooler. Damage to the leaking of pipes, plates l o cooler and gaskets are the cause of damage lo.o cooler. Efforts are made by repairing and replacing the gasket on the plate lo.o cooler, repairing the plate l.o cooler and repairing the leaking pipe. The main purpose of the airplane l.o cooler is: to maintain the temperature of the lubricating oil is maintained and the lubrication of the components of the main engine is protected.
