Abstract

The development of the business world of shipping goods via sea transportation is still the main choice for consumers. International trade has an important role that companies use to enter foreign markets. Freight Forwarders Company is a business entity that takes care of the activities of managing procedures and documents in the transportation of goods as a whole. The Freight Forwarders company has a target to get high sales volume and earn profits by taking into account the set service price factor, sales promotion strategy and appropriate service quality in order to create good relations with consumers. In this study using data collection methods in the form of observations made directly at PT. Arindo Jaya Mandiri Semarang. Questionnaire method with a sampling system with a total of 80 respondents (sample). The variables in this study consist of: the independent variable is Price (X.1), Promotion (X.2), and Service Quality (X.3) and the dependent variable is Sales Volume (Y). The research model is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis with statistical tools SPSS V.21 program obtained multiple linear regression equation Y = -1.150 + 0.408X1 + 0.318X2 + 0.350X3 + µ. The results of the multiple linear equations show that there is a positive and significant influence between Price on Sales Volume (t count 3.251 > t table of 1.99085), Promotion of Sales Volume (t count 2.944 > t table of 1.99085), Service Quality on Volume Sales (t count 4.092 > t table of 1.99085), individually Price, Promotion and Service Quality affect Sales Volume. The influence of the three research variables is very strong with the coefficient value (R Square) obtained by 57.5% of Sales Volume and 42.5% influenced by variables that were not detected in this study.
