Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country whose two-thirds of its territory is waters and is located in a strategic location because it is a stopover for world trade routes. PT. Yala Samudera Abadi is one of the companies engaged in the agency sector, one of which serves the arrival and departure of KM. Hanglima. The purpose of the study was to determine the arrival and departure of ships, the documents needed, the parties involved, the obstacles and solutions that must be done in the arrival and departure services of KM. Hanglima at PT. Yala Samudera Abadi. The research method uses observation, documentation, interviews and literature studies. The results of the research in the service of ship arrivals and departures, the agent plays a role in preparing everything in the process of processing licensing documents until the ship exits. The documents required are arrival documents and departure documents. The parties related to the port are the harbormaster, quarantine service, immigration service, shipping company, shipping freight forwarders, trucking, surveyors. Barriers to ship arrivals and departures are the untimely docking process, natural factors such as high waves. For smooth ship arrival and departure activities, it is better to increase cooperation with related parties and improve skills and understand all in the agency field.
