Abstract

Aviation safety is a condition where safety requirements are fulfilled in the use of airspace, aircraft, airports, air transportation, flight navigation and other supporting facilities and public facilities. As an airport that is also of international standard, General Tambolaka Airport Sumba Barat Daya NTT, must pay attention to security and safety which has a very important and strategic role in flight operations, so that the administration and development can run properly. In this study, aviation safety is influenced by several factors including safety culture factors, flight traffic guidance and safety management systems. These three factors have an important role in improving flight safety. The population in this study were employees at Tambolaka Airport Sumba Barat Daya NTTwith a research sample of 95 respondents, the variables in the study consisted of: safety culture independent variables (X.1), flight traffic guidance (X.2) and safety management system (X.3). as well as variables bound, namely aviation safety (Y). The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (software) Statistic Packa ge For Social Science (SPSS) version 20. The results of the research by testing the t-test hypothesis partially show that safety culture, flight traffic guidance, and safety management system have a positive and significant effect on flight safety. Based on the research results it can be seen that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation is: Y = 0.904 + 0.368.X1 + 0.352.X2 +0.190.X3 + µ. From the regression equation, it can be seen that the variable that has the most dominant influence on aviation safety is the safety culture variable with a regression coefficient of 0.368. And the R2 (R Square) test resulted in a result of 0.561 or 56.1%, which means that flight safety at General Tambolaka Airport Sumba Barat Daya NTT is influenced by safety culture variables, flight traffic guidance, and safety management systems, namely 56.1% and Other factors that affect flight safety at General Tambolaka Airport Sumba Barat Daya NTT are 56.1% or 0.561 Keywords : Safety Culture, FlightTraffic Guide, and Safety Management System, and Aviation safety
