Abstract
Transportation systems using sea and air transport modes are managed properly and efficiently is a very important factor for an archipelagic country like Indonesia in enhancing the economic competitiveness and maintain the territorial integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. Ships is an alternative solution to transport aircraft taking into account the lower crash risk and affordability. Ships also a cheap mode of transportation and effective and can reach most of the islands in Indonesia with a larger carrying capacity. The population used in this study are all customers (passengers) KM. Dharma VIII Ferry route Semarang - Pontianak. The samples in this study as many as 150 respondents based on non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. The analysis used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) by using the AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structure) version 22. The model has been tested using path analysis which consists of two sub-structures. From the analysis of the study tested the model shows that the model can be accepted based on the indices of models such as Chi-square = 77 925; df = 83; p = 0216; CMIN / DF = 1,129; RMSEA = 0.029; GFI = 0935; AGFI = 0887; TLI = 0.982; NFI = 0909; PNFI = 0597; PGFI = 0538. It can be concluded that the model meets the criteria for goodness of fit, although still below the value AGFI 0.90. From the test results submitted causality obtained significant results that all causality in the research model can be accepted.
