Abstract

Trans Central Java BRT performance is still not optimal. Several articles in newspapers and from articles in electronic media reported that the Trans Jateng BRT service should be improved. As the news published in Suara Merdeka on October 13, 2014, entitled "BRT Services Needs Improvement", transportation observer from Unika Soegidjopranoto, Joko Setijowarno said that Semarang City Government seems slow in fulfilling the public's need for public transportation. Trans Jateng has competition with other city buses such as damri buses, ¾ city buses, and minibus city transportation which have the same route or one-way route, so Trans Jateng buses have competitors that have various advantages and disadvantages that can be exploited by Trans Jateng buses to try to increase the number of passengers, Trans Jateng buses need to improve service quality, such as paying attention to good service, friendly, polite appearance from Trans Jateng bus personnel. This research uses data collection methods in the form of observations made directly in the field, literature study, documentation and questionnaire methods. In this study the authors used qualitative and quantitative data analysis, where the statistics found in the study were described or described as they were, then presented in the form of numbers which were then represented in a description. It shows that, based on empirical data (the results of filling out the questionnaire) and the results of multiple linear regression, it shows that the Facility variable (X1) has a positive effect on customer interest, where the tcount is 2.075> t table is 1.984. Service Quality Variable (X2) has a positive influence on customer interest where the t value is 3.237> t table 1.984. The price variable (X3) also has a positive influence on customer interest, it has a tcount of 3.715> t table of 1.984. Thus the results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between facilities, service quality and prices on customer interest.
