Abstract
Transportation is the movement of goods and people from the place of origin (where the transportation activity begins) to the destination (where the transportation activity ends). The choice of mode plays a very important role in determining the problem of transportation policy, someone who will move from one city to another will certainly. at the Manggar terminal, East Belitung Regency, is very minimal. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between transportation performance, service quality and transportation routes on the selection of public transportation modes at the Manggar terminal, East Belitung Regency. In this study, the sample was tak en based on passengers who wanted to use public transportation at the Manggar terminal with a sample of 100 respondents with a non-probability sampling technique with incidental sampling. multiple linear regression using (software) Statistical Pack age For Social Science (SPSS) version 25. The results of the research by testing the t-test hypothesis show that transportation performance, service quality, and transportation routes have a positive and significant effect on mode selection. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the research model obtained from the results of the multiple linear regression equation is Y = α + b1X1 + b2X2 + b3X3 + µ Y= -,647 + 0,281X1 + 0,364X2 + 0,366 X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is a positive and partially significant effect with the transportation performance variable on the choice of mode with a value of t count (3.840) > t table (1.98498), the variable quality of service on the selection of modes with a value of t count (5.286) > t table (1.98498), transportation routes to the selection of transpo rtation modes with a value of t count (5.074) > t table (1.98498). From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing mode selection is the transportation route variable with a regression coefficient of 0.366 and the c oefficient of determination is obtained (Adjusted R Square = 0.549) which means 54.9% while the rest (100% - 54,9% influenced by other variables outside the study or outside the regression equation model.
