Abstract

Indonesia cannot possibly be separated from the earthquake. Earthquakes can occur in all areas. Several of the earth's plates have met or collided long ago, in the Indonesian archipelago. Many places are prone to earthquakes and tsunamis in Indonesia. This is because Indonesia is geographically and geologically an archipelago which is located on four tectonic plates that meet, namely the Euroasia, Australia, Pacific, and Philippines plates. The formulation of the problem in this observation is based on the title of the observation regarding Weather Data Analysis at the Meteorological Center, Climatology and Geophysics Related to Tsunami in Banten and Relationship with Shipping Safety. This observation discusses the analysis of weather data related to the tsunami in Banten and its relation to shipping safety. The objectives to be achieved from the observations made by the author are what factors caused the tsunami disaster in Banten and the impact of shipping safety from the tsunami event in Banten. The method of observation by the writer to discuss this problem is a qualitative method. Continuously qualitative method observations are observations that intend to understand the phenomena experienced by the research subject holistically and by means of descriptions in the form of words and language, in a special natural context and by utilizing various natural methods. The results of observations made at the Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Region 3 Denpasar, the authors concluded that the BMKG has optimized the overall good and correct performance in terms of disseminating information related to data sources which are very important in shipping safety.
