Abstract

Handling the import of corn meal at the Marine Freight Forwarding Company (EMKL) PT. Raja Abadi Samudera Raya is the subject of discussion in this paper. The author aims to explain the process of managing the Import of Corn Meal. There are several problems that the author must solve, namely the flow of handling corn meal imports from the start of the document arriving until the container is returned to the depot, the operation of several systems, the documents used and the related parties. PT. Raja Abadi Samudera Raya is a company that handles Export and Import activities of various Commodities, with the biggest activity being serving the Import of Corn Meal Commodities from PT. Main Light Gate. The main documents that must be in place for the completion of the import of corn meal are Bill of lading, invoices, packing lists, quarantine documents (Warranty for transfer of carrier media) SP2MP, notification of import of goods (PIB) and other supporting certificates. The purpose of this research paper is none other than to know the process of handling imports from beginning to end. The author collects several methods to collect data during Land Practice (Prada), Some of the methods used by the author are, Observation, Interview, and Document Study and Literature Study. The result of the discussion of this paper is that the discussion of Import Handling from beginning to end can provide an overview of how the import activity is.
