Abstract
Based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Transport Traffic (LLAJ) Article 1 paragraph 31, what is meant by traffic safety and road transport is a state of avoiding everyone from the risk of accidents during traffic caused by humans, vehicles, roads, and/or the environment. This of course requires the organizers of facilities and infrastructure as well as human resources in the field of traffic and road transportation to meet safety standards, because without safety standards there can be many accident victims due to several factors, such as human, vehicle, road and environmental factors. Safety standards in the field of road traffic and transportation are a reference for the organizers of facilities and infrastructure in the field of traffic and road transportation which include: public motorized vehicles; road traffic and transportation infrastructure; human resources in the field of road traffic and transportation; operational; and environment This study aims to determine whether the behavior of the drivers, traffic characteristics, and road conditions can affect the safety of road traffic pantura, Brebes City. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents using the nonprobability sampling technique with the type of sampling, namely incidental sampling. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) version 24. The results of the research by partially testing the t-test hypothesis show that Driver behavior, traffic characteristics, and road conditions have a positive and significant effect on traffic safety. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the research model obtained from the results of the multiple linear regression equation is Y = + b1X1 + b2X2 + b3X3 + µ Y = 0.252 + 0.176X1 + 0.194X2 + 0.579X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is a positive and partially significant effect between driver behavior on traffic safety (t count = 2.052 > t table = 1.98498), traffic characteristics on traffic safety (t count = 2,339 > t table = 1.98498), road conditions to traffic safety (t count = 5.826 > t table = 1.98498). Meanwhile, from the results of the significant equation test (F test) the value (F count = 53.830 > F table = 3.09) and the influence of the three research variables is very strong, as evidenced by testing the coefficient of determination (R2 test) with an Adjusted R Square value. = 0.616 (61.6%).
