Abstract

Kota Lama Semarang is one of the rapidly growing areas with a population that continues to grow every year. In line with increasing population growth, the number of private vehicles owned is also increasing. On the other hand, the relatively high demand for vehicle parking which is not accompanied by the arrangement of parking areas is one of the factors for the emergence of illegal parking pockets managed by illegal parking attendants. The research objective is to analyze the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The population in this study are parking users in the Old City of Semarang in 2020 and the population is infinite. While the sample in this study amounted to 100 people. With nonprobability sampling technique and incidental sampling. Data collection using a questionnaire (questionnaire), the data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis technique including validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. Based on the analysis, the following regression equation was obtained: Y = 2.300 + 0.264 + 0.386 + 0.235 + . The results showed that hypothesis testing using the t-test and f-test showed that the independent variables, namely illegal parking actors (x1), policing (x2), the role of the transportation service (x3) which had been studied proved to have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely illegal parking. , in the coefficient of determination test (R2), the Adjust R square value of 0.610 means that 61.0% of the variation in the dependent variable, namely illegal parking, can be explained by the independent variables of illegal parking actors, enforcement policies and the role of the transportation service. While the remaining 39.0% is explained by other reasons outside the variables studied. Keywords: illegal parking perpetrators, policing policies, the role of the transportation service and illegal parking
