Abstract
The Garut Transportation Office is one of the regional apparatus organizations that carry out government affairs in the field of transportation, which has the task of carrying out guidance, development, management, control and coordination of activities in the field of transportation. This study focuses on the ROLE OF THE GARUT REGENCY OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES IN A LARGE-SCALE SOCIAL RESTRICTION PROGRAM DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. The purpose of this research is to find out clearly and clearly the role of the Garut Regency Transportation Service in every activity that has been planned to be realized directly in the field effectively. and efficient during the Covid 19 Pandemic. This research method uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The results show that in Garut Regency community traffic activities, awareness is still not effective in implementing health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic as it is now, therefore the role of the Garut Regency Transportation Service is needed as one of the relevant agencies in the Garut Regency Covid 19 Task Force. From the aspect of productivity and responsibility, it is still not optimal. However, in terms of socialization in driving safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been carried out in a structured manner, related agencies or parties have fully implemented the activities that have been set by the Garut Regent in accordance with the regulations set by the Central Government.
