Abstract
In the world of work, a job can be done individually or organizationally which will produce a product or service either in a shipping company or other company. Every company always demands that its employees work as well as possible, creating a safe work environment, so that they are able to work optimally and pay attention to their work safety. Likewise, people who have work on a ship, whether it's a ship crew or not a ship crew, are at risk of accidents while working. Accidents that occur on ships in addition to being obstacles in a job that can cause losses, either directly or indirectly. The implementation of the Toolbox Meeting on the ship is very important because it aims to support the performance of the ship's crew and improve work safety on the ship. While using descriptive qualitative method. Observations, interviews and literature studies were conducted to collect data. The Toolbox Meeting was not carried out properly and was not even held on board the ship, there were many incidents of crew experiencing work accidents, especially when working in the engine room area, this was due to a lack of knowledge, awareness, and discipline of the ship's crew regarding work safety.
