Abstract

Shipping safety is a condition of the fulfillment of safety and security requirements concerning transportation in shipping, namely waters and ports, everything related to transportation in waters, ports and security and shipping lanes. In this study itself aims to determine how far the influence of performance, facilities, and quality of service on the safety of ship operations. Formulation of the problem, the purpose of this study and the hypothesis in this study is to analyze the positive and significant influence individually between the independent variables, namely performance, facilities, quality on ship operational safety. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents the captain/crew of the ship through a non-probability sampling technique using random sampling. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression with the result Y= 0.100 + 0.204.X1 + 0.230.X2 + 0.319.X3+ From the results of the study there is a relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, hypothesis testing using the t test shows that the three independent variables, namely performance of 0.204 (X1), facilities of 0.230 (X2), and service quality of 0.319 (X3) which have been studied have a positive effect. and significantly affects the dependent variable on ship operational safety (Y) with the service quality variable having the highest influence than the other variables in influencing ship operational safety. In the coefficient of determination test (R square) the Adjust R Square value is 0.627, meaning that 62.7% of the variation in the dependent variable is ship operational safety. While other factors that affect the safety of ship operations (100%-62.7%) = 37.3%. So, the remaining 37.3% of other variables not proposed in this study. Keywords: performance, facilities, service quality and ship operational safety.
