Abstract
A port is a water area protected against waves, which is equipped with marine terminal facilities including a pier where ships can be late for loading and unloading goods, cranes for loading and unloading goods, marine warehouses (transito) and storage places where ships unload their cargo, and warehouses. warehouse where goods can be stored for a longer time while waiting for delivery to the destination or shipment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the independent variables, namely security, facilities, and accessibility, and the dependent variable, namely the effectiveness of loading and unloading performance. The population in this study were all service users and loading and unloading workers operating at Jamrud Terminal Surabaya and the sample in this study was 100 respondents with the technique used was non-probability sampling technique, namely by using saturated sampling, which is a sampling technique if all population members are used as samples. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, namely: Y= 2.493 + 0.305.X1 + 0.226.X2 + 0.258.X3 + Based on the calculation of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science), a linear regression equation is obtained: the Security Variable (X1) has a positive influence on the Effectiveness of Loading and Unloading Performance where the t count value is 3.142 > t table 1.98498. Facility variable (X2) has a positive influence on the effectiveness of loading and unloading performance, where the value of t count is 2,076 > t table 1,98498. Accessibility variable (X3) has a positive influence on the Effectiveness of Loading and Unloading Performance has a t-count value of 2.766 > t-table of 1.98498. Thus the results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between Security, Facilities and Accessibility on the Effectiveness of Loading and Unloading Performance.
