Abstract

Passenger safety is a condition of avoiding everyone from the risk of accidents during traffic caused by humans, vehicles, roads, and/or the environment. Given the important and strategic role of road traffic and transportation regarding driving safety standards that are important for the whole community, then The government issued a policy in the field of land transportation, namely the issuance of Ministerial Regulation No. 26 of 2015 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation Safety Standards. This study aims to determine the effect of vehicle conditions, traffic rules and load capacity, partially on passenger safety. Studies at the Department of Transportation of Kupang City. The population in this study were users of motorized vehicle testing at the Department of Transportation of Kupang City with a research sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with the type of sampling that is incidental sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis or quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of data analysis showed that the vehicle condition variable t-count value = 2,022 while the t-table value was 1.98472, and the traffic order variable t-hiting value = 6,529 while the t-table value was 1.98472, and the variable load capacity t-count = 2,952 while the t-table 1,98472, from the results of testing this hypothesis, it shows that the condition of the vehicle t-count < t-table with the conclusion that H0 is accepted H1 is rejected, meaning that there is no partial/individual effect on vehicle condition variables, while traffic rules and load capacity have positive and negative effects. significant impact on passenger safety Case study at the Kupang City Transportation Service.
