Abstract

Performance of employees or employees affected by several factors such as locus of control, individual characteristics and job characteristics. All three have an important role in improving the performance of employees or employees. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is influence of locus of control, individual characteristics and job characteristics to employee performance at the office of the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning and Transportation of Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province either partially or simultaneously. In this study, the sample was an employee at the office of the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning and Transportation of Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province totaling 90 people. In this study is expected to obtain a result which illustrates that the performance of employees affected by locus of control, individual characteristics and job characteristics. Based on the analysis with SPSS statistical tools Ver 22, obtained equation of multiple regression model research is Y = 0,912+ 0,331 X1 + 0,152 X2 + 0,476 X3 +  The results of multiple linear regression equation shows that there is a positive influence and significant between the locus of control on employee performance (t count = 3,106 > t table = 1,98729), individual characteristics on employee performance (t count = 2,334 > t table = 1,98729), job characteristics to employee performance (t count = 4,535> t table = 1,98729). Simultaneously the effect of locus of control, individual characteristics and job characteristics to work together to have the effect of F count 54,903 > F table 2,71. The influence of these three variables is very strong with a coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) obtained for 64,5% of the performance of employees and the remaining 35,5% is influenced by variables that were not detected in this study.
