Abstract

Traffic accidents are the main cause of death with various causes, each year as many as 19,320 people. Traffic accidents in Indonesia itself have entered a grave stage according to the Central Statistics Agency. This study aims to determine whether human error behavior, road conditions and vehicle conditions have an effect on traffic accidents. In this research, the object taken is along the Kaliwungu-Kendal Pantura road. Sources of data collection are primary and secondary data. The sample of this research is 100 incidental sampling. The analytical method used is quantitative and qualitative analysis, namely multiple linear regression analysis including: validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing through t test. Based on this analysis, the regression equation is obtained as follows: Y = 0,463 +0,200X1+0,471X2+0,265X3+ ε It shows that based on empirical data (the results of filling out the questionnaire) the Human Error (X1) variable has a positive effect on traffic accidents, where the t-count value is 2.358 > t table 1.984. The variable of road conditions (X2) has a positive effect on traffic accidents where the t value is 4,310 > t table 1,984. Vehicle Condition Variable (X3) has a positive effect on traffic accidents which has a t value of 2.885 > t table of 1.984. Thus the results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between Human Error, Road Conditions and Vehicle Conditions on Traffic Accidents.
