Abstract
Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death with various causes, ranking the tenth cause of all deaths and ninths as a major contributor to global mortality. The incidence of traffic accidents annually as many as 1.24 million souls is equivalent to 3,397 people every day. Traffic accidents in the World as well as in Indonesia itself have entered the stage of concern which by the World Health Organization (WHO) is considered to be the third largest killer, under coronary heart disease and tuberculosis. Problem formulation, research objectives and hypotheses in this study is to analyze influence between independent variable that is behavior of driver, road condition, condition of vehicle and environmental condition to dependent variable that is traffic accident factor. In this study the object taken is the user of Brebes Pantura road. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study is 100 respondents who are users of Brebes Pantura road. The technique used is a non-probability sampling technique with quota sampling, which is a technique of determining a sample from a population that has certain characters, until the desired quota is fulfilled..Teknik data analysis is multiple linear regression techniques. Based on the result of research and multiple analysis, Y = 1,676 + 0,264 X1 + 0,325 X2 + 0,225 X3 + 0,219 X4 + μ The result of multiple linear regression equation shows that there is partially positive influence between driver behavior toward traffic accident factor (t count 2,805> t table 1,985), Road condition to traffic accident factor (t count 3,375> t table 1,985), Vechile road to traffic accident factor (t count 2,992> t table 1,985) and environmental condition to traffic accident factor (t count 3,010> t table 1,985). As for the value of Adjusted R2 = 0.529 This means that 52.9% of the dependent variable variation (Y) is the traffic accident factor can be explained / caused by the independent variable that is the driver behavior (X1), road condition (X2), vechile condition (X3 ), and environmental factors (X4). While the remaining 100% - 52.9% = 47.1%, explained by other causes beyond the variables studied. Keywords: Traffic Accidents Factors, Driver Behavior, Vehicle Road Condition,
