Abstract

Supply vessel or AHTS are a means of sea transportation that is indispensable to serve the offshore oil and gas drilling. Anchor is a device mooring a ship to the bottom of the waters, in the sea, river, or lake so that the ship cannot move places due to wind, current, or waves. The anchor is one of the mandatory tools on board the ship considering its function as a means of holding the ship from moving and remaining in its position. The purpose of writing is to find out how to operate, maintain, and also to find out the consequences if the anchor machine maintenance is not done properly. An anchor engine that drives electric power, an anchor machine that uses an electromotor using direct current. For anchor engines powered by electric motors, it is usually used for medium-sized vessels. In the data collection method, the author uses the individual type interview method, literature method, online media, and observations made during marine practice on the SV ship. Patrona 118. Can find out the problems that often occur in electric anchor machines on ships.
