Abstract

Indonesia is the largest maritime country in the world, which has 2/3 of its territory as a sea area. Article 33 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution states that the earth, water and natural resources contained therein shall be controlled by the State and used for the prosperity of the people. The Republic of Indonesia in the form of an archipelago with a very wide area, it is necessary to have an effective and efficient transportation, in the sense of safe, cheap, smooth, fast, easy, organized and comfortable. Tanjung Emas Harbor (sometimes someone wrote Tanjung Mas), managed by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) since 1985. This port is the only port in the city of Semarang. For this reason, it is necessary to measure the performance of the employees of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Semarang Tanjung Emas Port Branch related to leadership style, work environment and welfare. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style, work environment and welfare on the performance of the Tanjung Emas Port Semarang passenger terminal employees. This study also aims to analyze the actors who are the most dominant influence on employee performance. This research was conducted by questionnaire method of 100 respondents in passenger terminal employees. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The formulation of regression in this study is as follows: Y =0,917+0,308X1+0,293X2+0,321X3+µ The results of multiple regression research indicate that there is a partially positive influence of leadership style on employee performance (tcount 3.258> t table 1.98472), work environment on employee performance (tcount 3.120> t table 1.98472) and welfare on employee performance (tcount 3.446> t table 1.98472). The influence of the three research variables is very strong with the adjusted correlation value R2 = 0.596 Keywords: leadership style, work environment, welfare and employee performance
