Abstract

An accident at a company is an unwanted event that can result in loss of life and property damage. It usually occurs as a result of contact with an energy source that exceeds a threshold or structure. With the development of development, the consequences of increasing work intensity which result in increased risk of accidents in the work environment, efforts are made to control the high rate of work accidents, elimination, substitution, engineering, administration, and use of personal protective equipment are carried out. Self in loading and unloading workers (TKBM), availability of PPE for loading and unloading workers (TKBM), obstacles in using PPE for loading and unloading workers (TKBM). The purpose of writing this scientific paper is how the compliance of workers in the use of personal protective equipment for loading and unloading workers (TKBM), the availability of PPE for loading and unloading workers (TKBM), barriers to using PPE for loading and unloading workers (TKBM). The method used by the author when collecting data during observation is an observation field study by recording problems carefully, discussing or interviewing loading and unloading workers (TKBM) and also carrying out a library study to retrieve literature from various books. Results and discussion based on variables related to compliance with PPE use can be concluded that employee compliance in wearing PPE is classified as good, due to strict supervision and sanctions. Improvements and factors of knowledge, attitudes, facilities need to be done so that compliance with the use of PPE can run well. Keywords: Compliance, PPE, UL
