Abstract

Every object or tool always needs maintenance, without exception a ship must get the same assistance. Care aimed at improving the performance of the ship always in good condition. Maintenance must be carried out regularly with scheduled time and planning, so that maintenance baetween one part and another can still be coordinated without any parts being left behind or missed. Care hare is not only for the physical ship itself, available navigation tools and ship engines must also get optimal complete maintenance. This research uses the method of library research or library research. Source of data ysed are primary and secondary data. Primary data in this study are data obtained directly from the company, either through collection or collection, interviews directly with the leadership of the Navigation Class III Cilacap District office, or through documents in the distrik office navigation class III cilacap. Secondary data consists of all data obtained through institutions or institutions which are related to the object of the study. Basad on the analysis used, conclusions are obtained. Ship maintenance procedures thet use the Cilacap Class III Navigation Distrik are procedures on accordance with the ISM Code ( International safety management ). The function of maintaining a ship so that it can know everything related to safety sailing, complementary shipping, can be anticipated by making voyages – varius obstacles related to difficult shipping.
