Abstract
A port is a place consisting of land and waters around it with certain boundaries as a place for economic activity which is used for ships to dock, dock, up and down passengers and load and unload goods. Loading and unloading is a transfer from one place to another and it is usually said to be an unloading or loading of goods from ship to dock and vice versa. The loading and unloading of export containers is a core activity in the port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang. The purpose of this research is to identify the handling of loading and unloading flows as well as the factors that hamper the loading and unloading activities of containers and to find out the documents or equipment used during the loading and unloading process of export containers. The data sources of this study are the 2020 work report and interviews related to the factors involved. affect performance. The purpose of this research is to know that in the process of handling the flow of loading and unloading of export containers, the types of containers and the documents required when loading and unloading are known. Loading and unloading equipment such as CC (Container Crane), has an important role for container ports in the process of loading and unloading, and the frequent damage to CC is always an obstacle. In addition to CC, the factors for the effectiveness of the loading and unloading process are TKBM (Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat ) and Fleets or trucks. TKBM is a partner who plays an important role in the loading and unloading process, they cannot be forced, but the company must remind them to work properly according to what was previously agreed and the availability of the fleet also has an effect. With a sufficient fleet supply to transport containers, the loading and unloading process will run effectively and the flow of loading and unloading of containers will run smoothly.
