Abstract

Optimizing Medical First Responder (MFR) at Sea as First Aid for Accident Victims Accidents can happen anywhere and can happen to everyone, therefore we must be able to perform first aid techniques known as MFR so that we can help and reduce casualties so that they do not become fatal and cause casualties. According to statistical data, it is known that 80% of all accidents that occur are caused by human negligence due to not understanding how to handle accident victims. As scientific equipment that already exists and provides an understanding to helpers and the general public about the importance of MFR procedures and mechanisms as a first aid tool in a ship accident. The author also listed how to provide first aid to victims who have suffered burns and how to provide Basic Living Support (BHD) to accident victims. The purpose of this study was to optimize the use of the Medical First Responder (MFR) tool as first aid to accident victims during the Search and Rescue activity at KN SAR SADEWA 231 Basarnas Semarang. Retrieval of paper data using library research and field research with the method of observation and interview methods. The results of this study were the optimization of the use of the Medical First Responder (MFR) tool as first aid for accident victims in the Search and Rescue (SAR) activity at KN SAR SADEWA 231 Basarnas Semarang.
