Abstract

Free trade is increasingly becoming an economic concept embraced by many countries including Indonesia, one of which is a cheap means of transportation to support the activities of shipping goods by sea using containers. However, it is not supported by stuffing process activities in the maximum, TKBM is less skilled and the lack of tools used in the Stuffing process is very influential for the smooth operation of container depots, especially the loading of containers to ships in container depots PT. Bahtera Setia Raya. This paper aims to find out the Optimization of Stuffing towards the smooth loading of containers to ships in the container depot of semarang gold cape PT. Bahtera Setia Raya Semarang, the system and procedures carried out by the container depot based on the rules of Permenhub No. PM 83 Year 2016, If EMKL actors carry out the procedure correctly then the obstacles in the Stuffing process can be minimized. The method that the author uses is a field research method that directly observes and interviews, and uses the method of literature studies. The results of this paper discussing the stuffing process show that the company PT. Bahtera Setia Raya Semarang has a very influential role in the smooth process of Stuffing in the container depot of Tanjung Emas Semarang.
