Abstract
The main bearing system of the parent machine is one aspect of the system that has an important role when the host machine operates and when not operating to support the engine power, so that the movement of the shaft and crankshaft can run safely, smooth and long life. The purpose of this study is to determine the cause of wear and tear on the main bearings of the parent machine. Bearing wear is caused due to lack of maintenance or errors during repair, wear often occurs due to mixing lubricating oil with water for a long time. Lack of lubrication on the bearings causes scratches, excessive wear and eventually will cause one way to overcome damage to the bearings when wear occurs is to check the shaft, the power of the shaft is the power on the shaft which is smaller than the average effective pressure of the enginefrom the cycle. The real thing yes and do a repair on the beraing shaft. Key words : Wear, Bearing, Lubricating
