Abstract
Oil / Lubricating Oil is a chemical substance that is generally a liquid and is applied between two moving objects to reduce friction. This substance is a fraction of the result of petroleum distillation which has a temperature of 105-135 degrees Celsius. Generally, lubricants consist of 90% base oil and 10% additives. One of the most important uses of lubricants is engine oil used in internal combustion engines. Engine oil is made both synthetically and naturally with additives that can enter the engine gap. This layer is called oil film, this oil film which will stick to the engine components and is very difficult to separate from the surface of the engine components. The lubricant in the engine rises as the engine rotates and reaches points where there is a friction between the metals. Furthermore, the lubricant is circulated through the oil pump in the engine. but still this system is mandatory for its existence on the machine, because in the machine there are a lot of components that are rubbing together.
