Abstract

Coronavirus Disease - 19 appears to be a new type of disease from Wuhan City, China which is caused by the corona virus and has been determined to be a pandemic by the World Health Organization. It was designated as a pandemic because of its rapid spread and also a global crisis that affected all areas, especially in the national economy, especially in the maritime sector, such as unloading and loading goods / containers using sea transportation. This observation was carried out to find information related to how the Covid-19 pandemic was affected in the process of unloading bulk cargo by PT. Harindra Mitra Sempurna on board the ship and the management of documents as well as obstacles experienced by the company during the initial preparation until the implementation of the unloading took place. Sources of data in this observation use secondary data as the main data. The data collection methods used in this observation were obtained from observation, interviews, literature and internet media. The method used to compile is a qualitative method. PT. Harindra Mitra Sempurna is a loading and unloading company engaged in bulk loading in collaboration with the EMKL (Marine Cargo Expedition) company, namely PT. Surya Laut Lingkar Sejati in carrying out cargo transportation using EMKL's truck. Unloading of cargo by PT. Harindra Mitra Sempurna begins when the ship's documents have been taken care of / have received permission to carry out the unloading process. The implementation of bulk loading includes stevedoring, cargodoring, receiving / delivery of bulk cargo from trucks to PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, which is the consignee by implementing health protocols to prevent the spread of the corona virus which is currently hitting the country of Indonesia so as to minimize the presence of new cases. Even though in the implementation of unloading there are still several factors that become obstacles to implementation, the company is making every effort to make the best possible effort to smooth the unloading process.
