Abstract

Apart from being known as an archipelago, Indonesia is also known as a maritime country, because most of Indonesia's territory is water. This makes most of Indonesia's population use the sea as a source of life. The wealth of marine natural resources in Indonesia also has the potential to be utilized maximally for the welfare of the Indonesian people. One form of exploiting marine natural resources is through the tourism sector. There are so many companies that provide services to develop the marine tourism sector, one of which is PT. Indonusa Tenggara Marine. This company is one of the yacht agencies in Benoa Harbor, Bali and Sorong Harbor, Papua. To provide optimal service, this company will conduct a survey of tourist destination locations. This is intended to determine the potential that exists in the location to be marketed to tourists. Based on the description above, the writer tries to examine more deeply so that the paper entitled "The Process of Surveying the Location of Tourism Destinations of PT. Indonusa Tenggara Marine ". With data collection methods either by interview, observation, documentation, and field notes that the author collected, an accurate discussion of the problem can be taken. In carrying out the process of surveying the location of tourist destinations, it is necessary to identify the influencing factors during the survey implementation. These factors can be classified into two, namely internal factors which include the readiness of PT. Indonusa Tenggara Marine in conducting the survey, and external factors including the environmental conditions of the location to be surveyed. A structured survey stage is also required, so that the achievement of the objectives can be measured properly. During the process of surveying the location of tourist destinations, PT. Indonusa Tenggara Marine refers to three stages, namely the pre-survey, survey implementation, and post-survey stages. As for the obstacles encountered during the survey process, namely navigation hazards in the form of logs, constraints on the dive compressor, bad weather, and lack of mooring around the survey location.
