Abstract
This research event will be based on work safety and health because it is crucial for companies especially in the port, due to the impact of accidents and diseases are not only detrimental to the work of labor, but also the company either directly or indirectly. Luce Neni (2005) says, basically the power that exists within a company lies in the people that exist in the company. When labor is treated appropriately and in accordance with the dignity and his dignity, the company will achieve the results that correspond to the objectives desired by the company. This research uses the independent variable i.e. Security (X 1), use of PERSONAL PROTECTION (Protective Tools Themselves) (X 2) and labor behavior (X 3), as well as the safety of loading and unloading as the dependennya variable (Y). The collection of data in research using a sample of Simple Random Sampling with the method the questionnaire presented to 75 people labor loading and unloading of wood logs in pt. Sinar Trans Global. While the analysis is carried out by processing data using SPSS version 16.0 for windows. . Based on the results of research and analysis of the multiple linear regression generated equation: Y = 0259 3,388 + x 1 + x 2 + X 3 0330 0356 + μ. The results of the regression analysis t test and be aware that security variables (X 1) a positive effect towards the safety of loading and unloading (Y) (t calculate 2.133 > t 1,666 tables), use of PERSONAL PROTECTION (Protective Tools Themselves) (X 2) a positive effect towards the safety of loading and unloading (Y) (3.054 > count t t table 1.666) and behavior (X 3) a positive effect towards the safety of loading and unloading (Y) (3.916 > ttable 1,666). Results the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R ² = 0.56) means amounting to 56.5%, variable coefficients of safety, the use of PERSONAL PROTECTION (Protective Tools Themselves), and labor behavior influence on safety of loading and unloading with a value amounting to 56.5% being the rest (100% 56.5% = 43.5%) affected variables other than research or outside the model equation regression.
