Abstract
When the ship experiences an emergency such as fire, leakage, sea accident, which requires the entire crew to leave the ship (abandon ship). Implementation of passenger evacuation procedures is the first action that must be taken to prevent casualties. Evacuation itself is the act of leaving a dangerous zone as quickly as possible in an orderly and orderly way on the ship. The purpose of this observation is to determine the benefits of training during passenger evacuation, to determine the procedure for carrying out passenger evacuation in an emergency at KM. Belt Nusantara 77, as well as knowing safety tools for the evacuation of passengers when abandon ship. The author uses qualitative methods and data collection of observations and interviews (interview) at the time of observation. The results of the observations are expected that all ship crews know the proper evacuation procedure by knowing the safety equipment, carrying out maintenance on the ship so that if a real distress situation occurs, it can be used in accordance with SOLAS 1974 rules. It can be concluded that at the time of carrying out the passenger evacuation procedure it is expected that the entire crew will carry out training (drill) seriously according to their respective responsibilities by improving the skills of KM crew. Belt Nusantara 77, improves the preparedness of both personnel and crew when abandon ship by conducting training (drill) once a week so that in the event of an emergency there are no casualties.
