Abstract

In the era of transportation services business competition especially sea transport is increasingly tight, each shipping companies are required to create the employees who have a high level of performance and continues to increase. One of the ways to increase the performance of the employees can be done with how to evaluate the performance of employees and a series of improvement so that the company can improve the performance of its employees. Many factors that affect the performance of the employees including the work environment in the company of the compensation given by the company, workload that is given by the company and employee development opportunities in the company. This research aims to analyze the influence of the work environment, compensation, work load, and employee development shipping companies in the Port of Tanjung Bonang Rembang. The population and samples in this research is all employees shipping companies in the Port of Tanjung Bonang Rembang with the number of as much as 47 people. Data collection is done using the questionnaire method. The data was tested using double linier regression with the help of the program SPSS 22 is to test the influence of the work environment, compensation, work load and the development of employees employees performance shipping companies in the Port of Tanjung Bonang Rembang. The results of research to get that regression equation as follows : Y = 3.657 + 0.329X1 + 0.334X2 - 0.044X3 + 0.293X4. The results of the study showed that the work environment a positive effect on the performance of the employees, compensation have a positive effect on the performance of the employees, employee development have a positive effect on the performance of the employees, while the workload of negative effect on the performance of the employees.
