Abstract
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is an effort / protection effort that is shown to the workers and other people in order to work in the workplace will be always a safe and healthy condition so that they can produce or do every their job safely and efficiently. Based on the background of problems in the implementation of occupational health and safety, the problem on how to implement OHS in shipbuilding, personal protective equipment (PPE), and whether work accidents occur can be formulated. The purpose of this writing is to determine of the implementation of OHS, to know personal protective equipment that can support the implementation of occupational health and safety, and to overcome and evaluate the obstacles that occur in shipbuilding area. Therefore, the author conducted practice and observation for 4 months at PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero). In this writing that can be concluded about the implementation of occupational health and safety at PT. PAL Indonesia is very good, and the company itself provides the PPE needed in shipbuilding work, and prevention and anticipation of work accidents in the shipbuilding area.
