Abstract
Occupational Safety Issues in Indonesia are still often overlooked. This is indicated by the increasing number of work accidents. This general safety concern also occurs in loading and unloading activities. Loading and unloading activities are among the sectors most at risk of occupational accidents. Loss of life, material, money and time are the consequences which of course will directly impede the implementation of loading and unloading activities. Work safety aims to create conditions that support work convenience for the workforce. There are many factors that affect work safety such as safety issues, the use of personal protective equipment, worker behavior, the condition of loading and unloading equipment and the environment. In this research will be analyzed three research variables: safety, use of personal protective equipment and worker behavior as independent variable and work safety as dependent variable. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the positive effects both individually and simultaneously between independent variables of security, the use of personal protective equipment and worker behavior to the dependent variable of safety. In this study the object taken is the loading and unloading labor available in the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang. Data sources include primary data and secondary data. The sample in this research is 100 respondents. Technical analysis of data is doubled linear regression technique. Based on the results of research and multiple analysis generated equation: Y = 1,868 + 0,271 X1 + 0,252 X2 + 0,375 X3 + μ The result of multiple regression research shows that there is a partially positive effect of safety on work safety (thitung 3.101> ttable 1,984), the use of personal protective equipment against occupational safety (thitung 3,173> ttabel 1,984) and worker's behavior toward work safety (thiung4,334> ttabel 1,984 ). As for feasibility test model (Fhitung 34,593> Ftabel 2.70). The influence of the three research variables is very strong with the correlation value of Adjusted R2 = 0,504. Simultaneously the security variable, the use of personal protective equipment and worker behavior influence 50,4% to work safety and 49,6% influenced by undetectable research variable in this research.
