Abstract
Traffic safety is a form of effort or means to prevent accidents in the form of safety, comfort, and economy in moving cargo (persons or goods/animals) by using certain transports through certain media or trajectories from the location or destination of the trip. Safety is defined as a safe state, in a condition that is physically, socially, spiritually, financially, politically, emotionally, occupationally, psychologically, or educationally and avoids threats to these factors. Therefore, traffic safety on P. Diponegoro Tayu Road, Pati Regency must be improved. However, traffic safety decreases every year, there are still many accidents occurring every year. Therefore, there needs to be a measurement of traffic safety levels related to rider discipline, vehicle conditions, and law enforcement. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of rider discipline, vehicle condition and partial law enforcement on traffic safety case studies on motorcyclists on the road P. Diponegoro Tayu Pati Regency. The study also aims to analyze the most dominant factors that affect traffic safety. This research was conducted by questionnaire method against motorcyclists on P. Diponegoro Tayu Road Pati Regency as many as 94 respondents. The analysis techniques in this study used multiple linear regression analyses. The formulation of regression in this study is as follows: Y = -1,080+ 0.377 X1 + 0.362 X2 + 0.331 X3 + μ Multiple regression studies show that there is a positive and partially significant influence of rider discipline on traffic safety (thitung 3,293 > ttabel 1.98638), vehicle conditions to traffic safety (thitung ttabel 1.98638), vehicle conditions to traffic safety (thitung 1.98638), vehicle conditions to traffic safety (thitung 1.98638) 3,783 > ttabel 1.98638), and enforcement of traffic safety (thitung 4,388 > ttabel 1.98638). From the regression equation it can be known that the most dominant variable affecting traffic safety is the rider discipline variable with a regression coefficient of 0.377 and obtained a determination coefficient value (Adjusted R Square = 0.574) meaning 57.4 % while the rest (100%-57.4% = 42.6%) other variables outside of research or outside the regression equation model.
