Abstract
Shipping safety is influenced by several factors including equipment-equipment safety, Sailing and Maritime Navigation Assistance Facilities. Of the three, have an important role in improving safety in waters. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of safety equipment, navigation aids and maritime navigation on shipping safety at the Telaga Punggur Batam fishing port. In this study, the population of the study is shipping safety at the Telaga Punggur Batam fishing port with a sampling system of 100 respondents (sample). The variables in this study consist of: independent variable safety equipment (X1), shipping navigation aids (X2), and maritime affairs (X3) and the dependent variable is shipping safety (Y). The research model is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis with the statistical tools of the SPSS V.22 program obtained multiple linear regression equations Y = 0.533+ 0.223 X1 + 0.460 X2 +0.245 X3 + µ. The results of multiple linear equations show that there is a positive and significant influence between Safety Equipment on Shipping Safety (t count2.580> t table of 1.98498), Sailing Navigation Aids to Shipping Safety (t count4.042> t table 1.98498) , Nauticality to Shipping Safety (t count 2.597> t table 1.98498), individually, Safety Equipment, Maritime Navigation Assistance Facilities and Maritime Affairs affect Shipping Safety The influence of the three research variables is very strong with the coefficient value (R Square) obtained by 61.9% on Shipping Safety and 37.1% influenced by undetected variables in this study.
